The Surge Guard 30A Hardwire Basic Automatic Transfer Switch will monitor your electricity saving you from two power sources entering and possibly creating electrical damage to your RV. If you are using campground power and it goes out, when the generator is turned on it will automatically switch the power to it. Same with if the generator is shut off and you are hooked up to the campground, it will also automatically switch.
